Ellis park is made up of 49 beautiful acres. It lies along the White Lick Creek and is the heart of Town of Danville's beauty. It also has many amenities. Some of the amenities include shelters, playgrounds, Sports fields, restrooms, Gill Family Aquatic Center and many more. Most people know Ellis Park for the historical swinging bridge.
History:
The earliest beginnings of the Danville park system can be traced back to 1913 when 49 acres were set aside to safeguard the wells that provided the Town's water supply. In 1971, the park was renamed in honor of Harve Ellis who served as Park Superintendent for 40 years.
